City outlines progress on roads, water and wastewater projects

The October project update covers 11th Avenue East, 6th Avenue West and the Park Avenue wetland treatment system.

Prince Rupert’s October infrastructure update reports continuing water-line work on 11th Avenue East and utility replacement on 6th Avenue West. The City says the 6th Avenue work begins between McBride and Thompson streets and will move west toward Summit Avenue.

The Park Avenue wetland wastewater system has been constructed and commissioning is under way. The City also reports that repairs to the 2nd Avenue bridge are complete and the bridge has reopened.

These are the City’s reported milestones, not a live road-status check. Consult its latest construction notices and posted traffic controls before travelling.
